Star Trek: Republic is a cooperative science fiction writing group based in Gene Roddenberry's universe of Star Trek. We use a traditional freestyle form of writing in the past tense, third-person point of view, focusing on character and story development. Our forum is a play-by-email (PBEM) venue and authors are encouraged to develop their own subplots and independent story ideas in addition to contributing to the overall storyline. This creative writing campaign promotes writing skill, thoughtful story design, and mutual respect for contributing authors as well as their characters.
